It is a "hands free" clitoral stimulator.  It is meant to be worn, not handled.  The idea is to slip the straps around your thighs, placing the butterfly in just the right spot.  They say you can even wear it out in public under your clothes, but I think it might be a little too loud for that.  The vibrator is contolled by a remote control unit that is connected with a wire.  That would make the public thing a little more complicated, too. It is variable speed, which is nice, so you can adjust it to match your mood at the moment.

You can have some fun with this, but it can be a little hard to get into the right position.  In fact, the first time I used it I thought I had wasted my money on it because I could not get it positioned right.  My second attempt was much better.  Much better.

If you are a girl that is seriously into getting off with vibrations on your clit, you will love the Venus Butterfly.  Personally, while I found the vibrator to be adequate for its purposes, it seemed a little limiting to me when used by itself.  I would recommend using with your hubby/bf to give you a little extra boost while he does his thing inside you.
