We have enjoyed visiting the Carolina Video Exchange for as long as it has been open. In fact, we have posted a number of experiences that have happened there, going back to the first days that it was opened. The CVE represented a big step up from the 74 - Gastionia, NC's former hangout for playful couples. (You can learn more about CVE here.) The CVE hit a rough patch a while back and a number of couples abandoned the place. We, too, had experienced enough negative stuff to make us slow to go back. We complained, like everyone else, in the various groups and bullein boards. We went last night and were pleased by what we saw, so it is only fair that we mention a couple of positives that we noticed last night.
They seem to have the AC problem fixed in the couples room. Much more comfortable than it used to be. The staff (with whom we have never had a problem, but complaints have been raised by others in the past) was great. In fact, they were showing a video in the couples room that nobody seemed to like. (Truth is, we were all laughing/complaining out loud about it.) I went to the counter and asked if a change would be possible. Within a few minutes we had a new video and the guy even said if we didn't like that one he would change it again. A little earlier I noticed that he had come into the theater to check on things. Even though several people were playing, he just surveyed the room and headed back out. We didn't hit the booths last night, but we did enjoy both the theater and the couples room. |
